Fine lines and wrinkles on the face can dramatically age your appearance or suggest that you look frustrated, angry, or tired, even when you're not. Frown lines, crow’s feet, forehead lines, and brow lines are all the result of stress, diminishing eyesight, smiling, sun damage, and other environmental factors. Aging can show its signs with upper lip lines, a down-turned smile, dimpled chin, and prominent neck banding.
There are a variety of factors that lead to the development of wrinkles and lines. One of the most significant factors is facial muscle use.
Whenever you smile, squint, or make any kind of facial expression, you can see that the skin wrinkles and creases above the contracting facial muscles. Over time, these wrinkles become more prominent, which can give the face an aged appearance.
Neurotoxins are injectable products that prevent the facial muscle from contracting by blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles. These products can be safely injected into the face in order to cause temporary paralysis of the muscles.
Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Nuceiva and Letybo are all neurotoxins that are FDA-approved products that relax the muscles underneath the skin in order to help soften the lines between your brows, forehead, and the crow’s feet around the eyes.
If you want to address moderate and harsh wrinkles or volume loss, you will be better served with our dermal filler injections. Dermal fillers are more suitable for addressing issues like the nasolabial folds, marionette lines, parentheses lines, cheek volume loss, and thin lips.
Treatment Process
-
Consultation
At CBB, we will complete a facial assessment and work closely with you to develop a personalized treatment plan. We will then go over the details of the neuromodu and will let you know how many units are recommended to achieve your desired results.
-
Treatment
The procedure is quick and comfortable. The skin will be cleansed, and a topical anesthetic can be applied to make the injection process as comfortable as possible. The number of injections will vary based on the number of areas being treated. The injections process takes around 20 minutes to complete.
FAQ’s
-
Repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, or raising eyebrows cause skin to furrow and fold, gradually resulting in the formation of facial lines. Botox and other brands of neuromodulators work beneath the surface to freeze and temporarily reduce the underlying muscle activity that causes moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines. The result is a smoother, more refreshed look.
